Cameron Hume Continues Growth with Appointment of New Investment Manager

EDINBURGH, UK, Dec 19, 2018 – Cameron Hume Limited, the leading independent fixed-income manager, has today announced the appointment of Jin Wong as Investment Manager.

Jin brings 12 years’ investment management experience to Cameron Hume following four years at Old Mutual Global Investors and eight years at Ignis Asset Management. Jin managed life and absolute return funds at Ignis and was a portfolio manager in the rates team at Old Mutual Global, where he was responsible for absolute return funds.

Jin has a degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Kent and a Masters’ Degree in Applied Statistics from the University of Oxford. Jin is the holder of a CFA charter.

This appointment comes just weeks after the announcement that former CEO of Standard Life, Sir Sandy Crombie was to take up the position of Chairman of the Edinburgh firm and is in line with the firm’s strategy of growth through adding highly-skilled individuals in areas that answer the needs of the market.

The Edinburgh firm provides active management of fixed income for institutional clients and has recently launched the Cameron Hume Global Fixed Income ESG Fund, which offers a transparent and measurable approach for clients looking to incorporate ESG (environment, social and governance) factors into their fixed income portfolios.

Founded in 2011 by directors Chris Torkington and Guy Cameron, Cameron Hume now has 11 staff and USD750M assets under management.
